David and I met when we were just 14 and 16 years old. What started as just two kids in high school grew into nearly eight years of partnership, growing up side by side, supporting one another through life’s biggest moments and eventually, into an engagement of our own. When we reached the exciting (and slightly overwhelming) moment of planning our wedding, we realized it is more challenging than we anticipated! Instead, we found ourselves lost in endless lists, automated reviews, and hundreds of options with no real guidance on how to choose what was right for us.

Scrolling through sites like The Knot and WeddingWire only left us more confused. Every photographer and videographer looked incredible, every review sounded perfect, and yet we still felt unsure about style, unsure about budget, and unsure about how to move forward confidently. We didn’t need more options; we needed clarity. One night, sitting together and talking through that overwhelm, we realized we weren’t alone and that there had to be a better way to help couples through this very first stage of wedding planning.

That conversation became The Wellman Circle.

The Wellman Circle was created to bring calm, clarity, and confidence to the beginning of the wedding planning process. We exist to thoughtfully connect newly engaged couples with wedding creatives who align with their style, values, and budget — without the pressure, chaos, or endless searching. Through a personalized consultation, we curate trusted photographers, videographers, venues, and creatives, make intentional introductions, and help couples feel confident in their choices. Once the connection is made and contracts are signed, we step back, allowing couples to continue planning with their selected team, supported and at ease.
